The Last 4 Months

The Last 4 Months

Where have I been the last 4 months? Seriously, any thoughts? Most days feel like a blur. Life has become challenging to say the least. Although, that is a personal statement referring to my very personal life, it was meant to have a broader reach. Someone asked me recently my thoughts on 'everything' that is going on in our universe. I sighed before responding, " I am over ALL of it". Everyone needs to tuck in their crazy that is showing for all the world to see and go back to living their ugly, beautiful, happy, sad, boring, stressful, painful, blissful lives. Life has always been difficult; people just did not talk about it quite so much to EVERYONE expecting a perfect fix. Our life has been a bit of all of the above the last few months. I am grateful that we got to live all of it because it meant we were living and experiencing all the things that make life personal and real. Here is a quick picture recap of the last 4 months.

4 Months with The LeBlanc's

In May, we set out on a vacation. Like much of the country, we up-scaled our vacation to account for the lack of money spent on last year's non existent vacation. Honestly, it was not worth it at all. But, I did manage to take some photographs that make it look like it was.

Not the house we stayed in, but I think it sends the basic message about our very pricey trip to Florida
More lovely homes in what appears to be a Utopian society
This really was a Utopian pool, mostly because of the cabana guys and their magic beverages
For some reason, all pictures involving our family are in black white. It does make for some dramatically edgy photos.
Nap time has never been quite so exotic

June was all about summer decor inside and out, cats frolicking on the lawn and family visitors that managed to photograph nearly as well as us.

Lovely guests in front of a lovely mountain range in the middle of a lovely gorge
Teeny tiny guests in front of a massive waterfall
Kitties frolicking

July came with vintage postcard exchanges, bouquets from the yard, new kitchen counters (okay, the counters were from May, but the backsplash was July hence the July pictures), selfies with an angry neighbor, acting headshot photo shoot and birthday treats.

Forced vintage correspondence from my sister and nieces
Stolen roses from my neighbors much neglected yard along with my well cared for 'Miss Manners' plants
Summer bouquet in the dining room
Hydrangea leaves make the best greenery!

White quartz counters and white porcelain tile finish of my white kitchen. I love white! The hydrangea leaves are not wilting; they are draping elegantly
My grumpy but sometimes lovable neighbor that looks a bit like Father Christmas if he were a trained assassin
Outtake from my son, the actor's, photo shoot
Birthday pillow presented to me on my 47th birthday from above photographed son
Soon after I put out the pillow a cat show up grateful for a reserved place to rest

August seems like only weeks ago. I was busy photographing lemon cucumbers and 3 generations of LeBlanc men.

Lemon cucumbers do not taste like lemons

September is in full swing. Life is still going. The best days are when I manage to cover my ears and eyes and avoid the mad world swirling all around. Those are the days I see and hear most clearly what matters the most, my life and those in it that make it one worth living.
