Garden Tours and Hand Soaks

Garden Tours and Hand Soaks

4 weeks spent in my yard has been both therapeutic and exhausting. For this year, my outside plans here are now complete. I love that I now have a quiet spot to sit and reread all of my favorite books. I have amassed quite a list over the years, and I am looking forward to many tranquil afternoons in my garden revisiting old friends.

All of my hard work has left my hands in quite a state.  Tonight's plan is to soak them while watching The Walking Dead with my son. If only I had a daughter, my life would have been so different. I do find consolation in the fact that Rick Grimes is British in real life and has the BBC on his resume.

In case you would like to try my hand soak, here is the recipe:

3 cups water

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp olive oil

A few drops of lavender Castile soap

Here is a photo tour of my garden for your viewing pleasure.
