Personal Style

I want to clarify that I am not a photographer nor am I a trained decorator or designer. I just enjoy trying to create homes out of houses. Over the last the 20 years, we have bought and sold 8 houses. Most of which were only in our possession for a couple of years. I have had to figure out creative ways to make them feel like home in a matter of months on a limited budget. My husband is not a carpenter or someone that enjoys the use of a power tool. I rarely if ever have scoured Pinterest for the latest use of reclaimed barn wood or antique ladders. My ideas are mostly of my own making. I don't claim to be brilliantly whimsical or on trend. I have proudly spent years creating a style that is all my own, despite Joanna Gaines best efforts to emulate my good taste. I consider myself a smoke and mirrors decorator. I take what is there and try and make the flaws less noticeable by giving you other things to look at. Things like bunny pillows, lots of green ferns and a soothing monochromatic pallet. I thought it would be fun on occasion to take a break from the more serious recesses of my mind and share my love of housekeeping and creating art out of the ordinary.
